Free Storage Terms Update

Archived post from 2025-07-04. Terms and prices may have changed.

Our company provides a full-cycle service — from initial intake of your goods to their shipment to customers and returns processing. Using our warehouse offers competitive advantages through faster delivery times. Every day we work to help you increase your sales and offer your customers the best possible service.

What’s changing?

We will continue to offer free storage for actively selling goods — i.e., products with consistent turnover in the warehouse. Starting August 1, 2025, free storage will only apply to items with a turnover period not exceeding 3 months.

The turnover period will be calculated not per individual item but by product category, based on the item’s dimensions (length × width × height), as entered in Seller Online. These dimensions may be adjusted by the operator upon intake.

Here are the product categories and monthly storage fees if the free storage condition is not met:

1000-5000

Example: postcards and bracelets fall under the first category, while suitcases belong to the last.

What is the turnover period?

The turnover period indicates how long (in months) it takes, on average, for stock to be completely replaced in the warehouse. It’s calculated using the formula:

Turnover period = Average daily stock / Monthly outflow

“Outflow” refers to any reduction in stock: sales, returns to the seller, disposal, etc.

If the turnover period exceeds 3 months, only the excess inventory will be charged.

Example Calculation

  • Initial stock on Sept 1: 100 units
  • Additional arrivals: 30 units (Sept 5) and 9 units (Sept 8)
  • Outflow during the month: 30 units sold, 5 returned, 2 disposed

Using the daily stock values, the average daily inventory is calculated at 119 units, and monthly outflow is 32 units.
So, Turnover period = 119 / 32 ≈ 3.72 months

Chargeable units = only those exceeding the 3-month threshold.

Storage Fee = (3.72 – 3) × 32 × $0.05 = $1.15

How and when is the fee applied?

The turnover period for each product category is calculated once a month, on the last day of the month, based on the movement of goods during that period.

Fees apply only to excess inventory, i.e., items with a turnover period exceeding 3 months. Let’s break down the storage fee calculation for the example above:

Storage Fee = (3.72 – 3) × (30 + 2) × 0.05 = $1.15, where:

  • (3.72 – 3) is the number of months exceeding the allowed turnover period
  • (30 + 2) is the monthly outflow (30 units shipped, 2 units disposed)
  • 0.05 is the monthly storage fee per item in this category

Thus, for the month of September, the total storage cost would be only $1.15 for items in the first category — i.e., for 23 units.
If the average daily inventory had been 23 units lower, storage would have been free.

If there was no outflow at all during the month,
the fee would be charged on the entire average daily inventory stored.
Fee application will begin in August 2025.

Let’s look at another example

  • As of September 1st, the client had no inventory in the warehouse.
  • On September 26, a batch of 25 units (first category) was received.
  • During the rest of the month, 2 units were sold, with no returns or disposals.
  • Inventory movement by date is shown in the table.

For this case:

Average daily stock =
(0 + 0 + 0 + … + 24 + 23 + 23) / 30 = 120 / 30 = 4 units

Turnover period = 4 / 2 = 2 months
Since the calculated turnover period is less than 3 months, storage will be free for this product in September.

If there had been no outflow at all, then the entire average daily stock — 4 units — would have been chargeable.
In that case, monthly storage cost = 4 × $0.05 = $0.20

How can you check your own metrics?

We’ve created a calculator that allows you to:

  • Analyze the product categories you store in our warehouse
  • View the turnover periods for the past 30 or 31 days
  • Estimate potential storage fees

You can also simulate different scenarios in the calculator to help optimize your stock levels and avoid unnecessary storage fees.

You have time until August 1st to decide what to do with your inventory:

  • Continue storing at the warehouse
  • Dispose of it
  • Ship it back to Ukraine, etc.

The first billing will be issued on August 31st, based on August data.

Product Disposal

f certain inventory stored at the warehouse is no longer needed (i.e., you do not plan to sell or return it to Ukraine), you may choose to dispose of it.

Please review your inventory based on your current sales strategy to make the best decision.

Soon, a Disposal Request Form will be available in the Seller Online system, allowing you to inform the warehouse quickly. You’ll receive a separate notification when the form becomes active.

Below are the disposal rates per item, based on volume category:
